I had so much fun exploring the possibilities of gouache paint with this piece!  Gouache is an opaque watercolor.  When I added extra water, the lovely drips happened.  Then I added thick creamy paint with a knife for the thick texture on the petals.  White flowers are so fun to paint because the petals pick up so many other pastel colors from the reflected light bouncing around.
