This unusual composition is from St. Mary's Point Beach. I set my easel in the water because it was a very hot day. This view is looking north towards Hudson. The distant tree line are in the background. The midground has two distant boats, a sailboat and a motorboat. The waves swing in an arc, due to the beach being on a point. You can see multicolored pebbles under the waves in the foreground. Plein air: Lake St. Croix Beach, MN.
