A row of bicycles is lined up, one with a wire basket on the back that says, "Trout". There is a large basket of multicolored flowers hanging from the corner of the foreground roof that hangs half in the sun. The ivy of the hanging basket reaches down to a small potted plant that sits below in the shade. Several cabins are nestled into the background, on the other side of a sunlit courtyard. The painting was painted from a reference photo taken in Grand Marais, MN as I was walking out of the Angry Trout Cafe. It's a lovely little cafe, right on the harbor of Lake Superior on Minnesota's "North Shore". If you go there, I highly recommend the trout.
